Adel M. Alimi

Adel M. Alimi has been a full Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Sfax, National Engineering School of Sfax (ENIS), since 2006. He is an IEEE Senior Member. He is the founder and director of the REGIM Laboratory for Intelligent Machines. His core research covers intelligent pattern recognition, machine learning, data analysis and intelligent control of large-scale complex systems. He has published 87 journal papers and 307 conference papers, with over 1,700 citations. He has contributed more than 20 chapters to edited scientific books, supervised 56 PhD theses, and received several IEEE Awards, the INNS Award, the Tunisian Presidency Award for Scientific Research and Technology, and the Tunisian National Order of Merit for Education and Science.

Ning Tan is a professor at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University, China. He is an IEEE Senior Member. He has been listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists. His core research covers Robotics (including intelligent robotics, intelligent control, medical robotics, multi‑robot collaboration, and bionic robotics) and Artificial Intelligence (encompassing embodied AI, machine/deep learning, multimodal large models, world models, neuromorphic computing, as well as computer vision and its integration with robotics). He has published over 100 papers in leading journals and conferences, held more than 10 authorized invention patents, and served as a core expert in the formulation of two group standards for embodied intelligence.

José Neuman de Souza is currently a Full Professor with the Department of Computer Science, Federal University of Ceará, Brazil. He is a Senior Member of IEEE. His core research covers Computer Networks, Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, SDN & NFV. He is a member of the Academia Cearense de Ciências (ACECI), occupying the 4th chair since June 15, 2022. He has served as the Brazilian representative to the IFIP Technical Committee on Communication Systems (TC6) since 1999. He served as a member of the Computer Science Advisory Committee (CA-CC) of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2025.

He has made significant contributions to the fields of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Natural Language Processing. His research interests also span several emerging areas, including Big Data, Computer Vision, Brain-Computer Interfaces, Evolutionary Computation, and the Internet of Things (IoT). He has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed research papers in leading journals and conferences, including publications in high-impact venues such as IEEE, ACM Transactions, Springer Nature and Elsevier.

Prof. Wenwu Yu is currently the Dean of the School of Mathematics and an Endowed Chair Professor at Southeast University, China. He is an IEEE Senior Member. His research interests cover multi-agent systems, networked collective intelligence, distributed optimization, game theory, and resilience in complex socio-technical networks. He was listed as a Highly Cited Researcher in Engineering by Clarivate Analytics/Thomson Reuters every year from 2014 to 2024. He has published about 100 papers in IEEE Transactions journals, which have received more than 20,000 citations. He is a recipient of the Second Prize of the State Natural Science Award of China (2016), and has been selected as a Chang Jiang Scholar in Artificial Intelligence by the Ministry of Education of China.

José Luis Verdegay is an IEEE Senior Member and Professor Emeritus in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Granada (UGR), Spain. His research interests lie in fuzzy sets and logic, soft computing, and computational intelligence, with a focus on fuzzy optimization, decision making under uncertainty, and multi-objective optimization, often employing metaheuristics such as evolutionary algorithms and swarm intelligence. According to the World Ranking of Scientists by Stanford University, he has consistently ranked among the top 2% most influential researchers globally since the inception of the ranking in 2019. His distinctions include an Honorary Doctorate, membership in the Cuban Academy of Sciences, and the Gold Medal of the Iranian Operations Research Society.

He develops fast, reliable data transfer and big data workflow solutions that empower scientists to move, process, and analyze large datasets efficiently across diverse computing environments. His work has been supported by major federal agencies, including the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, Department of Homeland Security, Office of Naval Research, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where he also serves as a collaborative research staff member.
